Midfielder left disappointed at Ewood Park as Town lose ground on the top six after going down to Blackburn

Cole Skuse described Town’s 2-0 defeat to Blackburn at Ewood Park as ‘deflating result’, as the Blues lose ground in the Play-Off race.

The midfielder played his part but unfortunately second-half strikes from former Blue Jordan Rhodes and strike partner Rudy Gestede saw Rovers claim the win and sees Town now five points the top six.

“Everyone is disappointed and a bit deflated in the manner we’ve conceded the goals and ultimately, lost the game,” Cole told the Club website.

"Until that point that was nothing in the game and if anything, we felt we were the side on top, playing some decent stuff.

"We perhaps weren’t clinical enough in the final third in terms of our delivery into the box and at the other end, as I’ve said, we were disappointed with the goals we’ve conceded.

"We’ve got a big game on Tuesday against Huddersfield now and we will be looking to get back to winning ways, although we know it will be a difficult game.”
