Club cutting cost of official travel for vital Turf Moor clash by 50 per cent

Town are cutting the cost of the travel fare for fans on the official Club coaches for Saturday’s trip to Burnley by 50 per cent.

Those travelling by coach would originally have paid £39 for adults; £33 for senior/students/U20s and £25 for juniors but the fares for the crucial trip to Turf Moor are now set at £19.50, £16.50 and £12.50 for the first five coaches booked.

Supporters who have already booked their place will be reimbursed for half the fee they have paid. Those that paid by cash will need to claim their refund from Planet Blue.

The coaches leave Portman Road at 5.00am and return around 8.00pm, with only one coach full at present. Supporters can book via Planet Blue or on

Town are one point off the Play-Offs following Monday’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth with the visit to the already promoted Clarets and then a home game against Sheffield Wednesday on May 3 to come.

Kick-off at Turf Moor is 12.15pm with the game covered live on Sky TV.

Match tickets are priced from adults £28; seniors 65+/U22 £17; U18s £8.

Supporters are advised of disruptions on the rail service with buses replacing trains on the final leg of the journey from Hebden Bridge to Burnley Manchester Road for those travelling from Ipswich.

The 6am train from Ipswich is set to arrive at Hebden Bridge at 10.37am with the scheduled bus service arriving at Burnley Manchester Road at 11.41am.

“Obviously it’s a big match for the Club and we’d like to see as many Town fans at the game as possible and getting behind the players,” Town’s joint MD, Ian Milne, told the Club website.

“We appreciate though that it’s a long journey and an expensive journey so we will be subsidising the first five official club coaches by 50 per cent.”
