Striker to look for first-team football elsewhere while Jack to join Carlisle on month's loan

Mick McCarthy says that Frank Nouble can go out on loan or on a permanent deal while Jack Marriott is joining Carlisle on loan.

Frank was left out of the 18 that were involved in Town’s defeat at Reading at the weekend, with Conor Sammon, who has joined the Club on a season long loan from Derby, preferred on the bench.

“I’ve spoken to Frank and he’s available for transfer or to go out on loan,” Mick told the Club website.

“We’ve got four strikers now. He’s seen other players come in and he’s not daft.  He wants to play games. He wants to play in someone’s first-team, not sit on the bench.

“He’s worked hard for us and hopefully he can get fixed up with another club.”

Mick also confirmed that Jack is going on loan to Carlisle for a month.

“He needs to play games. He will be there for a month and we will see how it goes but Jack can score goals at that level.

“There is a two week break coming up in the Championship but he will have the benefit of playing for them in that time.”
