Elliott gives Blues the victory as several first-teamers get match action

Elliott Hewitt scored the only goal of the game as Town came out on top against Swansea.

The Wales U21 international got on the end of a Balint Bajner cross 15 minutes from time and his header back across goal found the net.

Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor were both at Playford Road to watch the action, with Jonathan Parr, Kevin Bru and Alex Henshall all featuring for Blues. Teddy Bishop and Matt Clarke were also included in the line-up.

Jack Collison and Darren Ambrose, who are both training with Town, weren’t named in the squad, with several players who have not played regularly in the first-team this season given game time.
