Mick felt Blues were worthy of at least a point at Reading
Tyrone Mings saw his header deflected on to the underside of the bar in the last minute, with David McGoldrick also going close for Blues.
“I was happy with the performance, certainly the second-half and I’ve told the players that,” said the Town boss.
“We did enough to have got something from the game but we didn’t take the chances we had and they had ‘jonny on the spot’ and that was the difference.
“It was a mistake by us for their goal. Didz [David McGoldrick] was the last man out, he has seen we are overloaded. I think he was trying to send the ball back to Gerks. If a defender was there he probably would have put his foot through it but I’ll forgive him because he’s a fantastic striker.
“I thought, like everyone else in the ground, that Mingsy’s header was going in but their defender did great to get from the near post to the far post to stop it going in.”
