Striker delighted with the impact Town's top scorer is having and feels the two are linking up well for Blues
David McGoldrick was delighted to get on the scoresheet during Town’s win over Charlton last night, but reserved his praise for strike partner Daryl Murphy.
The former Forest striker scored the final goal of the 3-0 Portman Road victory, after previously hitting both posts and the crossbar.
The frontman was pleased to finally notch in stoppage time but was equally delighted to see Murph add to his tally, as well as contributing to a huge win.
“It was a great way to end 2014 and all the boys did great tonight,” Didz told the Club website.
“I was pleased to get a goal tonight, although it looked like it might be one of those nights for me as I had a few chances.
“The main thing is that I’m contributing and the team is picking up results and that’s what we did last night.
“Even though I haven’t scored as many as last season, I still feel I’m linking up well with Murph who is absolutely on fire at the minute and he looks like he’s going to score every time he steps onto the pitch.
“He’s full of confidence and he’s really impressed me on and off the pitch since the day I first walked through the door here.
“He’s a great guy and it’s fantastic to see him banging the goals in.
“We’re in a great position but like the gaffer says, we aren’t getting carried away and we are just taking each game as it comes.”
