Arsenal confirm interest but boss says no one will be going anywhere in January if Blues in the mix
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that the 21-year-old defender is one of the players they are monitoring, with scouts from a number of Premier League clubs regular visitors to Portman Road.
“If a quality of a manager like Arsene Wenger and a club like Arsenal are watching our players, it means we are doing something right so great,” said the Town boss speaking in an interview with Ipswich Player.
“I hope Chelsea are watching Chambo as well and Man United are watching Berra.
“We know we have that chance of losing players at some stage, that’s the gig. We lost Cressy, now we’ve got a player Arsenal are looking at
“It suits me fine, it inspires the players to play well. They want to be in the Premier League and if it’s not with us, then it might be with someone else.
“I don’t anticipate losing anybody in January though. If we are in the mix, no one will be going anywhere as far as I am concerned.”
