Striker set to end Town stay after Charlton clash
The Republic of Ireland international’s loan spell is up at the weekend and no agreement between the clubs is in place to extend the deal.
“Noel will be leaving us after the Charlton game,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
“His loan was due up on Saturday but with the FA Cup game at Southampton pushed back until the Sunday, he now can’t play in that game.
“There is nothing in place between the two clubs to extend the deal. There is no agreement there so Noel will have to go back to Leeds and do something else.”
The 32-year-old striker has made three substitute appearances in his short time at Portman Road, with one goal to his name - that dramatic last minute winner at Charlton on his debut.
