BLUES HIT THE BULLSEYE

Cressy stars in darts night success for Club

Several Town players joined more than 200 people at the Club’s Legends of Darts night at Greshams on Tuesday.

Stephen Hunt, Tyrone Mings, Daryl Murphy, Paul Taylor and Aaron Cresswell were on the oche, along with Town fans and top darts players, Keith Deller and Kevin Painter.

Former Blues, Fabian Wilnis, Bryan Hamilton, Allan Hunter and Jack Ainsley were also in attendance in an event that raised money for the Club’s Academy Association.

“It was a great night, with 230 people there and I think every one of them enjoyed it,” Town’s Academy sponsorship manager Simon Milton told the Club website.

“The lads were up for it as soon as I told them we were putting the event on. Cressy came out on top in the nine dart challenge. He won a dartboard, some top of the range darts and a shirt and presented them to young Josh Blunden, the son of Jason Blunden. His company Evolve Financial Solutions sponsored the event and it was a great gesture by Cressy, who had already given the lad a pair of boots.

“Keith and Kevin were fantastic and so was Russ Bray, who they brought along to do the scoring. He was different class.”
