Tommy pleased with Blues turnaround at Oakwell but felt Town could have grabbed all three points

Tommy Smith was pleased with Town’s superb comeback at Oakwell but felt the Blues could have grabbed a dramatic winner.

Goals from Christophe Berra and David McGoldrick inside the final ten minutes saw Mick McCarthy’s side come from two goals down to claim a share of the spoils, in an entertaining game in south Yorkshire.

“I think we could have won it in the end with the chances we’ve created,” Tommy explained to the Club website.

“Overall we’re pleased to come back and take a point, considering we were two down with ten minutes left to play, but we could have grabbed a winner.

“It was a dramatic end to the game and we’ve shown our battling character to come back and take a share of the spoils and it’s another good point on the road.”
