Midfielder delighted to play his part as Town secure a superb win over Bolton at Portman Road

Stephen Hunt was delighted to play his part as Town claimed an important win over Bolton at Portman Road.

The Irishman was a key performer for Blues, in a slightly different central midfield role, as Town defeated the Trotters thanks to David McGoldrick’s second-half penalty.

“That’s a big three points for us today,” Hunty told the Club website.

“I think the first-half was a bit soft in terms of Championship football, so we upped it in the second-half and got in their faces a bit more and ultimately that has helped us win the game.

“I enjoyed playing in a slightly different role today, playing more central, and I thought I helped the team out well.

“I had some good touches, put in a shift and tried to get forward as much as possible. I just need to find my shooting boots now!

“But overall it’s a great win for us and we want to take that into Saturday’s game at Barnsley.”
