Losing Didz a blow for Town but Christophe believes Blues can contribute goals from other areas of the pitch
Christophe Berra has told the Club website that it’s important Town contribute goals from all over the pitch, following the injury to top scorer David McGoldrick.
The striker could miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee ligament injury and now Scottish international Christophe believes it’s time for the rest of the team to carry on where Didz left off.
“Obviously Didz and Murph [Daryl Murphy] have scored the majority of our goals as the front players, so it’s important we help them out wherever we can,” Christophe explained.
“It’s good to chip in with a few goals to help the lads out wherever possible. As a defender I don’t get too many, so it’s nice when they do come along and I’ve been happy with my goals contribution so far.
“The main thing is performing well for the team though, keeping the goals out and helping us win matches.
“If we can contribute goals from all over the pitch as a team, then it’s always a positive.”
