Point takes us closer to top six but could have been more says Mick

Mick McCarthy felt a point was the least his side deserved despite Blues scoring twice in the last 10 minutes to earn a draw at Oakwell.

Goals from Chris O’Grady and Nick Proschwitz put the Tykes within sight of the win but a close range finish from Christophe Berra and a 16th goal of the season from David McGoldrick gave Blues a 2-2 draw.

“It looked like to the most one-sided 2-0 defeat ever with 10 minutes to go,” said Mick.

“I’ve been there as a player when you think it’s not going to be your day but we kept at them from the bench because we shouldn’t have been in that position.

“We played well and I thought if we could get one back, we could win it.

“Looking at it with 10 minutes left and you are two down, it’s a good point but we certainly deserved it and I thought we should have won it.

“It takes us another point closer to the top six so I’ll take it though.”
