'Keeper happy to be back in action for Town but frustrated at Blues' failure to win the game

Scott Loach was pleased to be back in between the sticks for Town this afternoon, but was left frustrated as the Blues were held to a goalless draw by Blackpool.

The ‘keeper replaced Dean Gerken in the starting line-up, after the former Bristol City man failed a late fitness test before the game.

However Scott came in and put in a man-of-the-match performance as Town stretched the unbeaten run to five games.

“I got told I was playing at 1pm, so it was a bit of a whirlwind really!” Loachy told the Club website.

“As a professional you’re always prepared for action though and that was the case today.

“It was unfortunate for Gerks, as he’s been superb for us, but that’s the nature of football. I was pleased with the saves I made and hopefully I’ve given the gaffer something to think about for the next game.

“It’s disappointing not to have won the game but looking at the positives, it’s a clean sheet and another match unbeaten.

“Obviously we are disappointed not to have won, as we want to win every game at home, but I thought both sides had chances so it was probably a fair result on reflection.”
