Mick salutes players for turnaround over last year
A Richard Wood own goal put Blues ahead and David McGoldrick had a penalty saved by Ben Alnwick before Johnnie Jackson levelled for the visitors on 90 minutes.
“On their second-half display, Charlton deserved the point,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“Considering the awful conditions, it was a very good game and both sides could have had penalties. Their ‘keeper made a great save from Didz from the penalty we did get.
“If that had gone in, I think it would have killed the game but the save gives them a boost.
“Yes, we could have had two more points but we are sixth on January 1 and the players deserve a lot of credit for that. They have been fantastic.
“If you said this time last year that we would be in the Play-Offs come the start of this year then everyone would have taken that.”
