FORTUNA BLUES HEAD TO PORTMAN ROAD

10 January 2014

Dusseldorf legend Egon and friends join Blue Army

The Blue Army will be joined by close on 120 fans from Dusseldorf on Saturday – including an icon of German football.

The Fortuna Blues branch of the Supporters’ Club will be at Portman Road for the clash with promotion favourites QPR and in their ranks will be Egon Köhnen, a  top-class defender, who played for Fortuna from 1966-81.

He helped the club win two German Cups in 1979 and 1980, as well as reaching the final of the European Cup-Winners’ Cup in 1979.
Egon will be the Legends Bar after the game, where he will be joined by

Bryan Hamilton, Fabian Wilnis and John Wark to take part in a Q&A session. Photos, autographs and chat are of course also very much part of the plan.   Entry is free of charge and all fans are welcome to the event, which has been organised by the Supporters’ Club in conjunction with Town.
