Homegrown Blue out to play his part in Town's top six ambitions
The midfielder has been a regular in Mick McCarthy’s side this season but was on the receiving end of some criticism from a small section of Blues fans during the 1-1 draw against Watford recently.
“Obviously it’s not nice to hear but it’s all part and parcel of being a footballer,” Luke told www.itfc.co.uk. “I’m a big boy and I can take it.
“I know that not everyone is going to like me. Football is all about opinions. It’s the manager’s opinion that is the main one but at the same time, I’d like to please the fans and win over all the supporters.
“Hopefully I can do that with my performances on the pitch. That’s what I’m aiming to do.
“We’ve got ourselves into the top six and I want to play my part in keeping that going.”
