Boss hoping to add new recruit but won't be rushed

Mick McCarthy is hoping to bring in a replacement for Ryan Tunnicliffe before the transfer deadline.

The midfielder, who was on loan from Manchester United, has been recalled by his parent club and looks set to join Fulham in a permanent deal.

“I’m sad to lose Tunners but delighted for him that he appears to be heading to the Premier League,” Mick told the Club website.

“He did well for us and there is more to come from him. He will be a good Premier League player.

“With Tunners gone, we are trying to get in a replacement. I’d like do it before the window closes but I’m not going to panic.

“The window opens again in a week when we can bring players in on loan and I’d rather do that than do something I might regret.”
