Winger disappointed that Town can't take all three points as Charlton hit back with late equaliser but happy with Blues progression
Paul Anderson was disappointed that Town couldn’t take all three points against Charlton today but is happy with the way Blues are progressing.
Town looked to be kicking-off 2014 in perfect fashion, as a Richard Wood own goal gave Mick McCarthy’s side the lead, before the Addicks hit back through Johnnie Jackson’s 90th minute equaliser.
Blues remain in the Play-Off picture though at the halfway stage, sat in 6th position, which pleases winger Ando.
“We’re all disappointed that we didn’t take all three points today, having been in the lead for so long and conceding at the end,” Ando told the Club website.
“We played well in the first-half but Charlton came back at us in the second-half, to their credit, and Gerks [Dean Gerken] has had to make some good saves.
“I thought we defended well and we were close to seeing out the game but unfortunately they’ve hit back with a deflected goal, which is disappointing from our part.
“But we are still unbeaten and in the top six at the halfway stage which is great and we will continue to push on during the second half of the season.”
