Boss confirms new Blue will face Preston in FA Cup

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Town fans will get their first look at Sylvan Ebanks-Blake in a blue shirt this weekend.

Town take on Preston in the FA Cup third round at Portman Road and the new arrival is set to make his debut after signing a contract to the end of the season.

“Sylvan will play against Preston on Saturday,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“I pencilled in this game for him when he arrived here a few weeks back. He’s over his injury and it’s just about getting that match sharpness back now.

“I know what Sylvan can do and he’s a great addition to the squad.”

The 27-year-old striker, who has recovered from a long term ankle injury, worked with Mick and Terry Connor in their time together at Wolves.

Tickets for the cup-tie against League One high flyers Preston are priced at £15 adults; £10 senior/student/U20 and £3 U16s. Click here for full details.
