Striker pens one-year deal at Portman Road with the option of a further 12 months
Town have signed striker Balint Bajner on a one-year deal with a further option of 12 months.
The Hungarian, who has been on trial with the Blues, has agreed to move to Portman Road after leaving German giants Borussia Dortmund.
Striker Bajner, who stands at well over 6ft tall, netted his first goal in a Town shirt during last night’s friendly win over Southend United at Roots Hall.
23 year-old Bajner has spent the majority of his playing career in his homeland of Hungary, but has also had spells in Italy and Romania.
He did take in a season-long loan spell at Premier League side West Ham in 2008, although failed to make an appearance and the Hammers decided against offering him a permanent deal.
After returning to Hungary and playing for Budapest Honved, the striker switched to Italian side Sulmona before teaming up with Dortmund.
During his time in Germany, Balint predominately played for Dortmund II but did make one appearance for the first-team, coming on as a substitute.
He has also been capped at U19 level with Hungary.
