Mick delighted with improvement after the break and happy to escape with no injuries
Mick McCarthy was pleased with the second-half performance of his side, after seeing Town beat Colchester 3-0 with all the goals coming after the break.
Frank Nouble bagged a quick-fire brace, with Jack Marriott adding a third with 12 minutes remaining.
“It was a game of two halves today, as it generally is!” Mick joked to the Club website.
“I didn’t think we really got going in the first-half and we needed to organise ourselves better as a unit.
“They came inside at half-time and sorted themselves out and we were a lot better in the second-half.
“There were some excellent finishes from Frank [Nouble] and Jack [Marriott] and there were also some excellent performances.
“I thought Ando did well, Alex Henshall did well, I thought Elliott did well at right-back. I was happy with my team.
“We’re halfway through the pre-season programme and we’ve not picked up any injuries- bar Stephen Hunt’s calf injury- so I’m very pleased.”
