Summer arrivals set to feature against West Ham

Town fans will get a first chance to see the summer arrivals at Portman Road on English soil when Blues take on West Ham tonight.

Mick McCarthy’s side began the pre-season campaign with a 4-0 win over Irish club Shelbourne at the weekend and now face the Hammers in the only home game of the warm-up schedule before the Championship gets underway against Fulham on August 9.

New Blues, Cameron Stewart, Alex Henshall and Jonathan Parr all featured at Tolka Park and are expected to be in the Town squad tonight while Bartosz Bialkowski could also play having joined Blues from Notts County on Monday.

Town’s other signing of the summer, Stephen Hunt, who has penned a one year deal, missed the Shelbourne game with a knock.

West Ham, who drew 2-2 at Stevenage at the weekend, look set to include their quartet of new signings, Mauro Zarate, Cheikhou Kouyate, Diego Poyet and Aaron Cresswell, who returns to Portman Road just two weeks after leaving Town to join the Hammers.

England international Andy Carroll is also expected to feature having missed the draw at Stevenage.

Kick-off against West Ham is 7.45pm with tickets priced at adults £15; senior/student/U20 £10 and U16s £3. Supporters can pay on the night.
