OPEN DAY - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

30 July 2014

Join the biggest ever team group, watch the players train, Sir Bobby Robson Day, fun for all the family - and it's free. Don't miss it - this Thursday

The Club’s Open Day takes place on Thursday, July 31 at Portman Road with supporters having the chance to take their place in Town’s biggest ever team photograph in just one of a number of events planned.

In what has become an annual event in the Town calendar, the Open Day is FREE to enter, with supporters invited to watch Mick McCarthy put his squad through their paces in a training session on the Portman Road pitch.

Then the Blues’ boss and his players will sign autographs pitchside at the end of training.

As well as a host of activities for every age going on the Fieldturf from 10am, the legend that is Sir Bobby Robson will be remembered with former England ‘keeper Peter Shilton among the guests as FA coaches put on skill sessions for local youngsters to mark Sir Bobby Robson Day.

Before all that, the biggest ever Town team group photo will take place, with Mick, his coaching staff and players joining the fans in the photo.

Here’s how...
Supporters need to be wearing Town’s new HOME shirt for the photo.

Fans should enter the stadium through Gate 7 on Portman Road from 8.45am.

Supporters must have entered the stadium by 9.30am to take their place in the photo.

Only participants who are wearing the new home shirt will be allowed entry to the section of the stadium where the photo will take place. Parents of young children WILL be permitted but will NOT be able to form part of the photo.

Everyone who appears in the photo will receive a free copy of the picture.  They will be available from the Planet Blue superstore on a date to be confirmed.

Fans wishing to pick up a copy of the team photo from the Planet Blue superstore must redeem their voucher which will be given to them at the event.

Supporters who have been in the picture (and those accompanying them) will need to leave the stand via Gate 7 before re-entering the stadium via Gate 1A to attend the rest of the Open Day. This is because only the East of England Co-op Stand will be open for supporters to watch training. The team group will take place in the Sir Bobby Robson Stand.
