Winger makes permanent switch after loan spell from Premier League champions

Alex Henshall has become Town’s first signing of the summer after putting pen to paper on a two year contract.

The 20-year-old winger spent the final six weeks of last season on loan at Portman Road from Manchester City and was named on the bench for Blues on a number of occasions, although he has yet to make his debut for the Club.

Alex joined City in 2010 at the age of 16 after spending eight years as a junior at Swindon. He represented the Premier League champions’ Academy and U21 sides.

In his time at the Etihad Stadium he was loaned out to Chesterfield and Bristol Rovers and has also been capped at international level, playing for England at U16 and U17 level.

The wideman joins Town as a free agent.
