Striker to return to Town for treatment on a thigh injury he sustained whilst on international duty with Ireland
Daryl Murphy is heading back to Town to receive treatment for a thigh injury he has picked up whilst on international duty.
The Blues frontman was with the Republic of Ireland squad, who face Costa Rica in Philadelphia on Friday, but he will now cut short his stay to head back to Portman Road.
Murph collected his 11th Irish cap recently, coming on as a second-half substitute at the Aviva Stadium as Martin O’Neill’s side lost 2-1 to Turkey.
The Green Army head to the States to take on Costa Rica, one of England’s World Cup group opponents, before facing Portugal in New Jersey.
