Blues to kick-off 2014/15 campaign at Portman Road against recently relegated Fulham with Norwich also set to visit in August

Ipswich Town will kick-off the 2014/15 Championship season with a home clash with recently relegated Fulham at Portman Road on August 9th.

It shapes up an exciting first month for Mick McCarthy’s side, who then face consecutive trips to Crawley in the Capital One Cup and Reading and Birmingham in the League, before welcoming East Anglian rivals Norwich City to Suffolk on August 23rd.

Blues end the month with a visit to beaten Play-Off finalists Derby County on August 30th.

The busy Christmas period sees Mick McCarthy’s men take on three teams in eight days, kicking off with a home clash with Middlesbrough on December 20.

Blues then travel to Griffin Park to play promoted Brentford on Boxing Day, before a home date with Charlton at Portman Road two days later.

The Easter period sees Town travel to Huddersfield on Easter Monday, having hosted Bournemouth at IP1 just two days prior.

The anticipated trip to Carrow Road to square off against Norwich has been scheduled for Saturday, February 28.

Town end the home campaign by welcoming Nottingham Forest to Suffolk on April 25, before bringing the curtain down on the season by travelling to Blackburn Rovers on May 2.
