Town stopper agrees to mutually cancel his contract at Portman Road as he seeks pastures new

Scott Loach has mutually agreed to cancel his contract at the Club.

The stopper, who arrived at Portman Road in the summer of 2012 from Watford, departs Town after making 33 appearances for the Blues.

A lifelong supporter of the Club, Scott saw a boyhood dream come true when he made his debut for Town against Blackburn on the opening day of the 2012/13 season.

The Nottingham-born ‘keeper began his career with Lincoln City, before moving on to Watford in 2006. Scott went onto feature 154 times for the Hornets and earned international recognition with the England U21s.

Everybody at the Club would like to thank Scott for his efforts and we wish him well as he looks to get fixed up with a new club.

“My time at the Club is over but I just want to thank everyone for making me feel welcome here,” Scott told the Club website.

“I’ve always had a great reception from the fans and I think the Club is a credit to itself. The people at the Club and the fans who support Ipswich all deserve a big future and I hope they get just that.”
