Now boss wants to see progress continued
The Town boss will put pen to paper on a three year contract this afternoon, with assistant manager Terry Connor also extending his stay for another three years.
“I’m delighted with it, more importantly I hope everyone else is delighted with it,” joked Mick.
“I’m enjoying my time here and we are making progress. The challenge now is to continue to make progress.
“I’d like to think the players are enjoying being here, enjoy working with TC and myself. We’ve got a good group here and we need to push on now and build on the progression that we had last season.”
Blues were anchored at the bottom of the Championship when Mick arrived at Portman Road in October 2012 but the former Republic of Ireland national team boss steered Town to safety.
Last season Blues finished ninth, the Club’s highest final standing since 2009.
