Defender delighted to net the winner as Town secure important three points at Huish Park

Christophe Berra was delighted to help Town pick up a ‘huge’ three points against Yeovil this evening.

The defender put in another superb performance at the heart of defence, whilst also popping up in the final third to score Town’s winning goal after latching onto a flick from Tommy Smith.

“It’s a huge win for us against a side that’s fighting for their lives,” the Scotland international told the Club website.

“Huish Park is a difficult place to go to but I thought we controlled the game, especially in the second-half, and deserved the win over the balance of the 90 minutes.

“I was delighted to get my fourth goal of the season. It was a good flick on from Tommy [Smith] and I’ve gambled at the back-post and thankfully I was able to side-foot the ball into the net.

“The main thing thought is helping the team but to score the winner and a keep a clean sheet in the process is an added bonus.”
