Fantastic result says Mick as Town close in on Play-Offs
Jonny Williams’ spectacular strike cancelled out Patrick Bamford’s first minute goal before Christophe Berra grabbed a last gasp winner with his fifth goal of the season.
The win leaves Blues just two points off the Play-Offs with Nottingham Forest at Portman Road at the weekend.
“Yes, we are right in the mix for the Play-Offs now, it was a fantastic result,” Mick told the Club website.
“It was the worst start possible, although if we had scored that goal I would have said it was a terrific goal.
“We were having to pick ourselves off the floor in the first-half a bit, Jonny was getting kicked here and there but we weren’t doing anything with the free-kicks.
“It was good to see their players being on the end of challenges in the second-half and having to pick themselves up off the floor and that got the crowd going.
“It was a great goal from Jonny, he’s a fantastic lad and a fantastic footballer. Tony Pulis was here tonight and I’m just a bit concerned whether he sees Jonny has doing something with Palace after his loan is up here. We will have to see but it’s been a good night for us.”
Luke Chambers was forced off with 15 minutes to go, with Mick adding: “He had blurred vision for a quite a while and was struggling to see properly.”
