COLE FIT TO FACE FOREST

28 March 2014

Midfielder recovers from hip injury that sidelined him against Brighton and Derby recently and is available for selection

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Cole Skuse is fit and will return to the Town squad for tomorrow’s big game against fellow promotion chasers Nottingham Forest at Portman Road.

The midfielder missed the recent victories over Brighton and Derby after picking up a hip injury against Wigan but returned to training this week and is available for selection.

“Cole is back. He’s trained fully and he’s fine. He’s in the squad for tomorrow,” The Town boss told Ipswich Player.

Cole’s return gives Mick a selection headache with Anthony Wordsworth staking his claim in the central midfield role in Skusey’s absence, but it’s a problem the boss has welcomed.

“Cole’s been fabulous, an ever-present except for the last couple of games. Woody’s played ever so well in coming in so it does give me a selection headache.”
