Daryl happy to see his goal earn Town a share of the spoils against Forest and keep the Blues in the hunt for a Play-Off place
Daryl Murphy believes today’s draw with Nottingham Forest has to be seen as an important point.
The Republic of Ireland international headed home Frank Nouble’s cross to cancel out Danny Collins’ opener, and keep Town in the Play-Off hunt.
Speaking after the game, the striker felt a point a piece was probably about fair.
“First-half they dominated but we were the better side in the second-half,” Murph told the Club website.
“We came flying out of the blocks and certainly took the game to them, which resulted in a deserved equaliser.
“I didn’t know too much about it. I saw Frank cross the ball towards me and I got my head on it, taking a knock in the process. I heard the roar from the crowd and realised I had scored!
“We had chances to win it after that as well, but overall it’s a decent point and to take seven points from three games this week is a good return.”
