Midfielder to remain at Portman Road from Crystal Palace until the end of the season
Town have extended the loan of Jonny Williams from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.
The Wales international, who has become a huge fans favourite in his short time at Portman Road, saw his original loan expire after Saturday’s draw with Nottingham Forest.
However the midfielder will now remain with the Blues until the end of the term, although the Eagles do have the option to recall Jonny at 24 hours notice.
Jonny has so far made six appearances for Mick McCarthy’s side, scoring once- a screamer against Derby- as the Blues overcame the Rams in an entertaining game at Portman Road.
The loan could be extended for a second-time up to 93 days, providing Palace don’t recall the midfielder, to ensure Jonny is available for the Championship Play-Offs should Town finish in the top six.
