TRIO GIVE BLUES A BOOST

6 March 2014

Luke back in training with Frank and Jonny over injury scares as Mick confirms Tayls will start at Boro

Town have been boosted by the news that Luke Hyam, Jonny Williams and Frank Nouble are all available for Saturday’s trip to Middlesbrough.

Luke has been missing since sustaining a hamstring injury in the goalless draw with Blackpool, while Frank was forced off with the same problem early in the second-half of the win over Birmingham last week.

Jonny sat out the Birmingham game with injury but returned to action for Wales in their win over Iceland last night.

“He played the last 20 minutes, coming on for Gareth Bale. I think Jonny thought he was getting the standing ovation when he went on!” joked Mick, speaking to the Club website.

“He’s fine though. All the four lads who were away on international duty, Jonny, Murph [Daryl Murphy], Greenie [Paul Green] and Christophe [Berra] are all okay.

“Frank and Luke both trained this morning. The only one that is a concern is Woody [Anthony Wordsworth]. He’s got a sore back and we will see how he is tomorrow.”

Mick confirmed that Paul Taylor will keep his place in the Town line-up at the Riverside, adding: “He was man of the match last week against Birmingham and was excellent. Tayls will be playing.”
