Blues' look for next season gets backing of the players as pre-orders begin

Town’s home shirt for the new season has been revealed and is available for pre-order from 9am today.

The kit is the first home strip supplied by adidas as part of the four year deal that sees the sportswear giant and Blues reunited for the first time in 25 years.

The iconic blue shirt with the three white stripes across the shoulders is sure to bring back memories of the kits from the Club’s golden era of the late 1970s and early 1980s when Town lifted silverware at home and abroad.

The players got their first look at the new kit, including the green home goalkeeper’s shirt, during a recent photo-shoot and were impressed.

“It was a job making sure the lads didn’t disappear out of the door with the kit,” the Club’s director of retail Lee Hyde joked to the Club website.

“You don’t mind that to be honest, it’s when they’re throwing it back at you that you need to worry!”

Supporters can pre-order the kit online at or in-store at Planet Blue.

Pre-ordered shirts will be available for collection from July 8 with the kit going on general sale on Saturday, July 12.

All pre-ordered shirts will come with an invitation for the fan to take their place in the biggest ever Town team photo alongside the first-team squad at an event to be announced during pre-season.

Shirts will be priced at £34.99 (youth) and £44.99 (adult).
