Boss praise for outstanding professionals as options are considered from both ends

Mick McCarthy says he knows Frazer Richardson, Stephen Hunt and Paul Green would all welcome the chance to return to Portman Road.

Hunty is now a free agent after signing a short term contract at Town in December that took him to the end of the 2013/14 season.

Green spent three months on loan at Blues from Leeds while Richardson joined the Club on loan from Middlesbrough in January. Both players are available after being released by their clubs.

“All three players, Hunty, Greenie and Frazer were outstanding as professionals in their time with us,” Town boss Mick told the Club website.

“They were a credit in the way they worked and the example they set and we will have to see what happens in the future.

“We might sort something out but it’s not just about us. We will be looking to see what deals are out there but they will be looking to see what is available as well.

“There is certainly nothing concrete but what I do know is that they’d all come back here.”
