We are getting noticed now says striker who senses good times at Portman Road

David McGoldrick says Town are becoming a team to fear in the Championship now.

A win in the early kick-off at Charlton on Saturday will take Blues into the automatic promotion places at this stage of the campaign for the first time since the 2004/05 season.

Last weekend’s 2-2 draw at second placed Bournemouth extended the Club’s run to just three defeats in the 18 Championship games this term and Didz is confident Blues have what it takes to stake a claim for promotion.

“We’re right in the mix now. We’re not up there on luck,” the striker told the Club website.

“We’ve been better than teams. Clubs are taking notice of us now. Teams are scared of us.

“There will be extra pressure on us now but we can deal with that. There is a good group of lads here. They are level-headed boys, humble. We work hard in training every day and I think we’re on to something.”
