Striker excited for Town challenge and is hoping to play his part over busy Christmas period at Portman Road

Noel Hunt says it was an easy decision for him to join Town and he’s looking to play his part in maintaining Blues’ promotion push.

The Republic of Ireland international spent his first day training with his new team-mates, including his brother Stephen, after agreeing a month’s loan from Leeds and he will be included in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Charlton.

“It was a very easy move for me, what with the manager here and his record and the way he likes to play,” Noel told Ipswich Player.

“My brother’s here obviously and I know Tabby from Reading and a lot of the other lads as well which does help when you join a new club.

“I feel I have settled in already and I’ve only been here the one day! The boys have been great and I’m looking forward to my time here.

“The team is going well and hopefully I can help them stay at the top of the table over the next month and extend my stay here.

“I don’t think I have a future at Leeds and it’s time to move on and it will be great if I can do that at Ipswich.”
