Hunty impressed but not suprised by the form of 'Brazilian-like' Daryl Murphy as striker moves into double figures for the season

Stephen Hunt has praised the performances- and goals- of teammate Daryl Murphy, with the Irishman showing glimpses of ‘Brazilian class’ according to the Town midfielder.

Murphy bagged a brace as the Blues brushed aside Wolves at Portman Road, seeing him move up to 10 goals for the season already with Hunty believing there is still more to come from the striker.

“I’ve stopped calling him Murph and I’m now referring to him as ‘Murphlinho’ after the way he cheekily dinked that second goal over the ‘keeper!” Hunty joked.

“Listen, he’s been top class for this Club and has really come into his own over the last year or so and I think he’s proven that he’s a top Championship striker.

“To get into double figures at this stage of the season is a great return from him and, knowing Murph as I do, he won’t rest on his laurels and he will want to continue to add to his tally.

“He’s an important part of the team, the fans seem to love him and I’m confident he will continue to score some vital goals for us over the rest of the season.”
