Mick confirms that five players to miss out on clash with his former club Wolves tomorrow evening
Mick McCarthy has confirmed to the Club website that Town have a number of injury absentees for tomorrow night’s clash with Wolves at Portman Road.
The Blues have five players on the treatment table- Teddy Bishop, Dean Gerken, Jonny Parr, Cole Skuse (all groin) and Jonny Williams (calf)- who will all miss the game, whilst Elliott Hewitt has been recalled from his loan spell at Colchester to help strengthen the squad.
“We’ve got a few missing for tomorrow, with a couple picking up knocks against Blackpool,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“Bish ripped it up at Blackpool for 60 minutes but then got a tight groin, Gerks did his groin in the warm up and Skusey’s was quite evident when he got injured that it could keep him out.
Bishop: Groin problem
“Jonny Parr has got a groin injury too, Jonny Williams has a calf problem so there’s a few but that’s just the workload we’ve been putting in whilst playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.
“We’ve recalled Elliott from Colchester and he’s fit and ready to play. That’s why he went there in the first place- to keep himself sharp- and we’ve only had Matt Clarke as our sub defender so Elliott gives us more depth to the backline.”
