Striker overjoyed to net the winner on his first Town appearance and praises the graft of the side

Noel Hunt labelled his Town debut as ‘a dream come true’, as the striker notched an injury time winner against Charlton.

The Leeds loanee came off the bench to win it for Town with almost the final kick of the game, planting the ball beyond Nick Pope and into the far corner, as the Blues moved into the automatic places.

“You couldn’t write it could you!” Noel told Ipswich Player after the game.

“It’s strange because I’ve never been on loan before so I wasn’t too sure what to expect, but all the lads and the staff have made me feel right at home.

“As debuts go, it was a dream come true but I have to praise all the lads for the graft they have put in today.

“I took a whack from an old teammate of mine in Andre Bikey but to then get the goal soon after to win it for us, was really special.

“As I’m sure you could see from the celebrations, that meant a lot to us as a team and it was great to send the fans home happy who were absolutely fantastic behind that goal today.”
