EACH launches top lot online auction with Sir Bobby’s charity with plenty of Town prizes on offer

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has joined forces with leading cancer charity, the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, to host an online auction of exclusive lots which goes live today (Oct 6th).

With Sir Bobby Robson’s close links to Ipswich Town Football Club, there are several prizes for the Town fans including VIP Hospitality and Directors’ Box seats for two people, the chance to watch training and meet the team as well as two Academy training sessions; for a team of 12-15 year olds and 16-18 year olds.

The Online Auction is being hosted by and is now live and all the lots currently available can be viewed although anybody planning on bidding needs to register their interest via the site:

The auction has been organised by the EACH Special Events Committee; chaired by veteran fundraiser Gina Long. Gina has previously raised over £600,000 via several highly successful online auctions with £232,000 of the proceeds going to Sir Bobby Robson’s charity.

Other top lots include: opportunity to watch Tottenham train and meet first team players, Manchester Utd VIP package, signed England Rugby shirt, the chance to watch FC Barcelona train and attend a match at the Camp Nou stadium, official Ryder Cup pin flag signed by 2014 captains Paul McGinley and Tom Watson, VIP tickets to World Snooker Championships 2015, Ed Sheeran hoodies, various hotel and dinner packages at some of East Anglia’s finest establishments and signed football shirts from several Premier League teams.

Over 70 lots have been secured so far, with many more still coming in.  A number of prizes have been sourced from generous Suffolk based organisations including a ‘Glamping’ bell tent hire from Events Under Canvas of East Bergholt and 4-ball rounds of golf at Stoke by Nayland and Ufford Park.  Southwold is well represented with four great prizes from Adnams as well as holiday breaks at Lollypop House and the Brewers House, both of which sleep 8.  Also available are wonderful overnight stays at several of the county’s leading hotels including Ravenwood Hall (Bury St Edmunds), Bedford Lodge Hotel (Newmarket), the Brudenell (Aldeburgh) and The Great House (Lavenham).   If horse racing is your thing, a Premier Experience at Newmarket for four is also available.

Two more unusual lots are the chance to visit the home of the Apache helicopter at Wattisham and see some of the training facilities at the Army Air Corps station.  Also exclusive to this auction is a tour around the Port of Felixstowe including the chance to have a go on the crane simulator.

EACH ran their first ever online auction this time last year, and with The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation now on board, EACH fundraisers hope this year’s event will be even more of a success.

Gina Long, Chair of the EACH Special Events Committee said: “I’m so pleased EACH and The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation will both benefit from what I’m sure will be a super online auction this October.

“We have many fabulous items and experiences to suit all budgets and I would encourage everyone to keep an eye on the EACH auction page on where we’ll be adding prizes as they come in. We are so grateful to everyone who has donated a prize to the auction and can still accept more.”

The auction opened for bidding at 11am on Monday 6th October and will run through to approximately 8pm on Sunday 19th October.
