21 teams took to the course at Hintlesham Golf Club for the second time this year, with the early mist clearing to ensure ideal weather yet again for the ITFC Golf Day!
Ex-Canary Bryan Gunn joined an impressive list of ITFC celebrities, which included George Burley, Kieron Dyer, Paul Goddard, Matt Holland, Mick Lambert, Ian Marshall, Simon Milton, James Scowcroft, and Charlie Woods.
Amongst those representing the first team and coaching staff were boss Mick McCarthy and assistant manager Terry Connor plus Bryan Klug, Andy Liddell, Stephen Hunt, Conor Sammon, Tommy Smith and Jay Tabb.
And it was Jay Tabb who was crowned ITFC Champion Golfer after scoring an impressive 4 under par. Tabby explained “I’ve been trying to get my handicap down for a while now, without any luck, but it all came together out on the course today!”
Jay’s fantastic performance helped his team to win 1st place in the team competition, alongside Paul Goddard and entrants Ken and Cameron Macdonald.
After accepting his award, Ken Macdonald praised the running of the event: “I’ve played in the ITFC Golf Day 5 or 6 times now, and it just gets better and better each time.”
Event organiser and ITFC Director of Sales Rosie Richardson was delighted with the feedback received from golfers: “It’s always a pleasure to work with Henry, Debbie and the rest of the team at Hintlesham. We work hard to deliver a fantastic event for everyone involved and judging by their comments, they all had a great time today.”
