Mick looking to maintain momentum after fourth successive win

Mick McCarthy says Town are ‘there to be shot at now’ after chalking up a fourth successive win with a 2-0 success against Rotherham.

Goals from Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick inside the first six minutes put Blues in command and Conor Sammon almost added a third early in the second-half with a shot against the post.

“It was the perfect start for us with the two goals,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“I’m not sure what happened after that. Do you get forced back, does the other team play with more freedom? Possibly.

“We had other chances but they are a good team and kept going, as I knew they would.

“We’ve got some momentum now. How do you get momentum, from results obviously but also with performances. If you play well and turn in consistent performances, then the results come.

“It’s been a good month for us so far and I hope that continues. We are there to be shot at as they say. It’s up to us to keep performing.”
