DARREN: I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER

11 September 2014

Returning Blue has unfinished business at Portman Road

Darren Ambrose says he has unfinished business at Portman Road and he couldn’t be happier to have the chance to wear the Town shirt again.

The former Academy graduate at the Club has signed a short term contract to January after impressing while training with Blues over the last three weeks.

It will be his third spell at Portman Road after beginning his career at the Club and also making nine appearances while on loan in 2008/09.

“I’d been on to my agent to try and get me a chance to train with Ipswich and the gaffer invited me down here for a few weeks,” Darren told the Club website.

“I have felt good here and the manager pulled me on Tuesday and said the Club would be offering me something.

“I couldn’t be happier to be honest. It’s a great club and I feel like I have unfinished business here. I have said before that I left too young and then when I came back here on loan, things didn’t really go as well as I had hoped for.

“Now I’m back for a third time and I’m really looking forward to it. I want to succeed here. That’s the target and I’m confident I can achieve that.”
