Murphy and Sammon both named in 37-man provisional Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers

Daryl Murphy and Conor Sammon have both been called up for international duty next month by the Republic of Ireland.

The Town striking duo- who both helped Blues defeat Wigan last night- have been named as part of a 37-man provisional squad by Ireland boss Martin O’Neill for games against Gibraltar and Germany as part of their EURO 2016 qualifying campaign.

The Greens, who also include former Blues Damien Delaney, Paul Green and Jonathan Walters in the squad, take on Gibraltar in Dublin on October 11th, before travelling to Germany to face the World Champions in Gelsenkirchen three days later.
