Striker features for the Republic of Ireland as a late substitute during the friendly win over Oman

Town striker Daryl Murphy made his 12th appearance for the Republic of Ireland, after helping Martin O'Neill's side beat Oman 2-0 in Dublin.

The former Celtic man came on as an 85th minute substitute for the Greens, who earned a friendly win thanks to goals from Kevin Doyle and Alex Pearce.

Conor Sammon, who is on a season-long loan at Portman Road from Derby, was named in the provisional squad but didn't make the bench. Ireland travel to Georgia on Sunday for their opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

Blues defender Christophe Berra withdrew from the Scotland squad this week due to injury.
