Hunty and Darren get 90 minutes but Cameron forced off
Hunty, who has not featured for the first-team this season after sustaining a calf injury at the start of pre-season, is back in full training while Ambrose penned a short team deal to January last week after spending three weeks training with the Club.
Cameron Stewart, who has also not appeared for the first-team this term after fracturing his jaw in the last game of pre-season at Leyton Orient, was forced off midway through the first-half after taking a knock on his knee.
Omar Sowunmi headed the only goal of the game late on, getting on the end of Hunty’s cross to find the net.
Michael Crowe made a couple of excellent saves for Town, while Ambrose threatened to break the deadlock for Blues with two long range efforts in front of the watching Mick McCarthy.
The win makes it three victories from four for the U21s in an unbeaten start to the season.
