1 April 2015

With sunshine, blustery wind, rainbows, hail stones and thunder, participants could be forgiven for thinking event sponsors Big Cheese Comedy had brought along April Fool’s Day 24 hours early!

However, the course at Ufford Park was in great condition for the ITFC Golf Day yesterday, despite the weather making for a very tricky round of golf.

Golfers were in good spirits and braved the elements alongside current and ex-ITFC players and celebrities.

Radio and TV presenter Georgie Bingham and flat race jockey Seb Sanders joined former Town players George Burley, Kieron Dyer, Bryan Hamilton, Mick Lambert, Mick Mills and James Scowcroft, whilst familiar faces Charlie Woods and David Sheepshanks also took to the course.

From the current coaching staff, golf day guests were joined by Terry Connor, Bryan Klug, Alan Lee, Andy Liddell and U21 goalkeeping coach Darren Smith, who took home the ITFC Champion Golfer trophy.

Stephen Hunt, Paddy Kenny, Freddie Sears, Tommy Smith, Jay Tabb and Luke Varney represented the playing staff.
